The Jackie Bristow Memorial Foundation is proud to announce that we are hosting a screening of the movie Embrace. This is a movie that questions the irrational views we have of our bodies and how it affects our lives and influences our sense of self-worth. Oftentimes when we talk about the dangers of eating disorders, we leave our audiences with shock and fear. This movie, however, provides a healthy look at how we can start to change our views of ourselves and others. Buy tickets now!
When Body Image Activist Taryn Brumfitt posted an unconventional before-and-after photo in 2013 it was seen by more than 100 million people worldwide and sparked an international media frenzy. EMBRACE follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.
Please check out the trailer. It is fun, interesting, and provocative. Then, please go and buy tickets! We have a provisional reservation for the screening and the theater requires a minimum audience before the guarantee our showing. We need you to buy tickets now! The foundation does not make any money off of this screening. We only hope that many people can experience this wonderful documentary.
Screening scheduled for January 17, 2017 at the AMC Glendora 12 theaters in Glendora.
